If you are fishing at the Specimen Lake, the price includes the hire of fishing tackle. There is no discount on offer if you use your own tackle, so it makes sense to utilise what is on offer.

When you use the Kingfisher Lake, you have access to spinning rods and fly rods. You will also receive a selection of flies and lures at this price.

What happens if I lose equipment at the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort?

Given the number of guests at the resort throughout the year, and the amount of equipment on offer, it makes sense that lost or damaged equipment will need to be replaced. Therefore, there is an acceptable charge when items need to be replaced.

Is the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort safe?

Given the size of some of the fish up for grabs at the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort, there are challenges for anglers to be aware of. Therefore, there are regulations to consider and all guests will be asked to sign off on these regulations before they start fishing.

Some of the most important regulations include:

  • Anglers should only use barbless hooks when fishing
  • If you catch an Arapaima, this fish needs to be unhooked in the water
  • If you catch a snakehead, you should control it with a Boga Grip before you unhook it
  • When fishing with one of the Predator tickets, floats and free line fishing are not permitted

Also, while you can use your own tackle at the resort, it must be checked by the lead fishing guide. This is for your safety, and the safety of others. Requirements of your fishing tackle include:

  • The Specimen Lake requires a minimum line of 80+ lbs
  • The Kingfisher Lake requires a minimum line of 25+ lbs

Free-lines are not allowed, dead baits must circle hooks and all hooks must be barbless.

Are there additional packages available for the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort?

While fishing is at the heart of what is on offer at the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort, it is far from the full story. The resort prides itself on having additional activities for guests to enjoy, and the swimming pool is a star attraction.

The swimming pool is open from Monday to Saturday (so it is closed on Sunday), and the opening hours are 2pm to 5pm. There is a limited capacity for the pool, so on the sunniest days of the year, expect it to be busy.

If you are keen to go for a cooling dip, or you wish to lounge by the side of the pool, make sure you get along early. However, you can book your spot at the reception desk, which is handy if you are keen to plan ahead and secure your spot.

Can I book a room at the Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort?

Each bungalow provides you with a fantastic view of the lake, and each building has the ability to sleep four people.

All bungalows are equipped withy air conditioning, a bathroom with hot water and a shower, there is a fridge, coffee making facilities, cable TV; and you can relax on the outside terrace.

If you are fishing during your stay, and why wouldn’t you, the  bungalow is available for two people. An additional person will cost extra.
